"In this course, teachers will learn how to create online collaborative environments and manage Web pages using a new program called Microsoft Office SharePoint Services. This program will allow teachers at Garretson School District to create their own personal Web-based learning spaces, which can be accessed by students in their respective classrooms. Teachers will be able to post their syllabus, spelling lists, newsletters, teacher hours, create a class calendar, post homework assignments/ documents, and create activities that promote student collaboration and communication: blogs (Web logs) and Wikis (a collaborative Web site that allows users to add, remove, edit, content).
